THERE WILL BE A SOCIAL RIDE DAY ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE EACH EVENT


EVENT FORMAT 

This is a 8 round series consisting of 7x by 4 Hour & 1x 6 Hour events

 

7:30am Gates open

7:30am-8:30am Sign on

8:30am Riders’ briefing

9:00am-10:15am Practice/Qualifying

10:30am-12:30pm Race Part 1

12:30pm-1:30pm Lunch

1:30pm-3:30pm Race Part 2

3:45PM Presentation (at Race Control)

5:00pm Gates close

ENTRY DETAILS & FEES

Entries are open now. 

Pheasant Wood officials reserve the right to refuse entry to the event or facility for any reason

Entry fee is $430.00 for 4 Hour events & $530.00 for the 6 Hour event.


TEAM INFORMATION

Each team may consist of 2 or 3 riders.

RIDERS MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OF AGE.


ELIGIBLE MACHINES

Racing class open to all 125cc Commuter Bikes

To be eligible for racing, the motorcycle must have:

ADR Compliance

Standard 4 stroke engine of 125cc

The motorcycle must be made to comply with any general requirements of road racing rules in        

the MOMS

The following items may be modified from OEM

Body work may be removed or replaced, provided the replacement bodywork provides a similar 

profile as OEM

Carburettor jetting / fuel injection mapping

Air filter, air box may be modified / removed

Exhaust system (NOTE: STRICT NOISE LIMIT OF 85db@30 METRES APPLIES)

External gearing and drive train

Tyres: No slicks or wet weather racing tyres

Brake pad material, braided brake lines allowed

Front fork springs and internals

Rear shock(s) and springs

Instrument cluster may be removed or replaced with aftermarket instruments

Pillion sub frame may be modified (only as per picture below)



ECU must be retained, no modifications. Checks will be made on ECU rev limiting to 

Starter motor, battery and alternator must remain and operational (engine must start with 

bikes own starter motor



PLEASE NOTE:

Yamaha R15 V1 motorcycles are permitted and must remain standard.

CF Moto 150cc motorcycles are allowed and must remain standard except you can raise the footpegs.


PITSTOPS

For the 4 Hour events each team MUST complete 3x 1 minute (60 second) pit stops in each 2 hour session. In The 6 Hour event each team MUST complete 10x 1 minute (60 second) AND 1x 3 minute (180 second) pitstops.  The penalty for each missing 1 minute pitstop is 2 laps (lap penalties applied at the end of each session). Subsequent pitstops can be less than 1 minute.

PLEASE NOTE: The lunch stop is NOT considered a pitstop.


RIDER ATTIRE & SAFETY WEAR

Full riding leathers, gloves & boots are compulsory.

An approved full  face helmet AS/NZ1698/2006 minimum, must be worn and properly fastened prior to entering the circuit and must be left on until you are off the bike. 


STARTS

Bikes are to assemble on the marshalling area in qualifying order.

For part one of the race there will be a Le Mans start. Bikes will enter track & proceed to turn nine where a co rider will be waiting to hold the bike (co riders MUST be in full race attire).

The race will start at the raising of the Australian flag.

For part two of the race bikes will assemble on the dummy grid in finishing order of part one.

Bikes will be released following the Pace Bike. At the end of the sighting lap the Pace Bike will peel off into pit lane, at this time the green flag will be displayed signalling the start of part two.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO OVERTAKING ON THE START UNTIL AFTER TURN ONE IN PART TWO.


PENALTIES

Penalties for this event may include but are not limited to:

Ride through penalty (black flag)

Pass under yellow flag (ride through penalty)

Lap penalty (allocated after completion of race)

Break out lap penalties (1 lap per break out lap - break out time announced at riders’ briefing). 

Rider exclusion from event


MEDICAL SERVICES

Medical services will be provided by Ambulance Australia. Any rider with an acute medical requirement MUST discuss their condition with the medical staff prior to your first session on circuit. Random drug & alcohol testing will be conducted.


TIMING SERVICES

Timing services will be provided by Eldee Timing

Each team will be provided a transponder.

Live times recorded will be displayed on the screen at Race Control. Results will also be posted on the Natsoft website. www.natsoft.com.au


AWARDS

Prizes will be awarded at each round to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place getting teams

Trophies/prizes for the series overall will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters. 

There will be various other prizes awarded at each round at the discretion of the Promoter.



ROUND AND SERIES POINTS

Each of the 8 rounds  will be scored individually.


Points will be awarded as follows: 


  • 1st place 50 points

  • 2nd place 47 points

  • 3rd place 44 points

  • 4th place 42 points

  • 5th place 40 points

  • 6th place 39 points

  • 7th place 38 points, and so on.


Series points will be determined by combining points accrued from the teams BEST seven rounds, allowing teams to drop their worst round points.


TRACK DENSITY

The maximum number of entries permitted will be the first 28 paid entries.


LICENCE REQUIREMENTS

The minimum licence requirement is a Pheasant Wood Licence ($99.00 valid for 12 months). 

Motorcycling Australia licences ARE also accepted.






PARTICIPANT SIGN ON

All participants are required to attend the designated sign on area in the Race Control for document & licence checking. A completed Pheasant Wood disclaimer must be completed at this time (if not completed electronically). Wristbands will be distributed once participants have been processed.

The entrant will be emailed an event entry confirmation, self scrutineering sheet (please note bikes will be randomly chosen to be scrutineered at each event) and a copy of the Pheasant Wood disclaimer. It is the responsibility of the entrant to complete these forms prior to the event.

Pheasant Wood reserves the right to refuse any entry without reason.
